Truck Series: Mopar Power - 13 August 2013 - National Sim Racing Association

With the Truck Series reaching it's halfway point. The Trucks return to Bristol for the first time in two seasons. Mike Tellier won the pole and looked to capture that elusive first win. Steven Davis started outside pole and was also looking for his first win. When the race went green, the Trucks roared around the half mile oval, led by Tellier. The first caution of the night came out when Alex Crapser spun off of turn 2. On the restart John Battista, make his part time season debut, drove up to the front of the field and never looked back. Towards the back of the pack Alex and Zach Michael were battling for 4th position when the two made contact, sending the #14 around with no caution. As the laps wore on Battista pulled away with Tellier trying everything to catch the #39. Crapser caught up to the off pace #14 and when the two were side by side, netcode intervened. The two trucks were sent flying into the air, ending Crapser's night, and destroying Michael's truck. On the restart Tellier made a charge but got loose and bounced off the wall. Guthrie was able to get around Tellier but not Battista, who held on for the win at Bristol.
