For race 6 of the inaugural season, the Traxxas Series made it's debut at Indianapolis. Rob Scarberry won the pole and lead more than the first half of the race. Scarberry pulled out to over a three second lead on the field and after pit stops lost the lead to teammate Zach Michael. Scarberry caught right up to Michael and drove around the #14 for the lead. Just as Scarberry pulled to a two second lead with just 15 laps to go, a debris caution came out (Full NASCAR simulation right here....). After pit stops under yellow, Michael took the lead and on the restart drove off with it. Mark Murphy however, caught up to him and the two were racing side by side when contact was made and Murphy lost control entering turn 3. On the restart with just 1 laps to go, Michael pulled away and while Scarberry and Steven Davis were racing hard for 2nd place, that allowed Murphy to catch and pass the #42 for 2nd place at the finish line.

Congrats to Zach on his win and see you all next week at Gateway!
