N.S.R.A Rulebook

We at the NSRA try to provide a fun and realistic racing experience but as close to NASCAR as we can. We ask all of our drivers to be respectful while both on track and in TeamSpeak. Those who cannot accept the fact that not every race can go your way, who talk about inappropriate things during the race, or who are disrespectful to anyone on here are not welcome. We want you to spend your time racing and having fun. Please familiarize yourself with the rules below.

∞ - Any and all actions contrary to fair play and sportsmanship are subject to repercussions

 

All of the following rules apply to both series, unless noted.

Section A (On track conduct)
A-1 No Intentional wrecking. This includes intentionally bringing out a caution.
A-2 Drivers cannot drive through multiple pit stalls on pit road. Defined as two or more stalls that are not your own.
A-3 Drivers must obey pit rules communicated by the admin.
This includes staying to the inside of the commitment cone/line while on pit road.
A-4 No passing under caution
A-5 Drivers must maintain reasonable pace when under caution (+/- 10MPH)
A-6 Drivers cannot cut corners to gain an advantage
A-7 Drivers cannot intentionally go below the yellow line to pass or gain position (ex: side by side) at Daytona or Talladega. Going below the line is defined as two tires fully under the line. Doing so will result in a one lap penalty.
A-8 Drivers race back to the line when a caution is displayed.
A-9 If a driver self spins (no contact from other driver) three times and causes a caution on each they must retire.
A-10 All lap down cars must line up at the EOLL

A-11 Drivers can only retire from the race in pit road (If you cannot get to pit road, call a tow truck)
A-12 Drivers must maintain a slow deceleration after taking the yellow flag until the back stretch.  If the pace car has not caught up to the field by the backstretch, all drivers will not pit the first time by
. If drivers must stop to let the pace car catch up, they must pull to the apron and announce it.
A-13 Blocking is prohibited. Blocking is defined as deviating from the racing line in reaction to the car behind you
A-14 Drivers cannot bump draft in the corner or tri-oval.
A-15 Lap down cars must give way to the leader within three laps to go, this includes dropping out of the lead pack by at least three seconds.
 
Section A2 (Starts/Restarts)

A2-1 Drivers will restart double file.
A2-2 Leader gets lane choice.
A2-3 Race is restarted on green.
A2-4 You can pass but not change lanes unless to avoid a hazard
A2-5 The leader is to be 1st until the green flag comes out, so long as he maintains reasonable pace speed
 
Failure to abide by these rules may result in: A black flag, probation, loss of positions in race, ban from qualifying, point deduction, temporary suspension,  and/or permanent suspension.

Section B (Race format)
B-1 Once the pace car exits the track, drivers are to be silent on TeamSpeak until the green flag flies during restarts.
B-2 If the server crashes during the race, it will be restarted with as close to as many laps remaining as possible, in as close to the same running order as possible. If the server cannot be restarted, or an alternate server that the majority agrees on cannot be found, the race will be deemed official past halfway so long as an export is saved or majority can come to an agreement on the running order. If prior to half way, the race will be rescheduled for a later date. A server crash is defined as two or more drivers simultaneously falling out of the server.
B-2 A driver can only be ejected if he violates rule A-1 or becomes repulsive as deemed by the admin.
B-3 Drivers must be 16 years or older to race.
B-4 Drivers must race with a wheel.
B-5 One the session has started, drivers are to remain silent until the qualifying session goes to complete
B-6 All points races count for career stats.
B-7 If a driver speeds down pit road to avoid a hazard, their black flag will be cleared if they did not stop in their pit stall.
B-8 If a driver falls out of the server and falls at least one lap down, he will receive one lap back.
B-9 The track version cannot be changed within 7 days of the scheduled event. If an error is noticed in the schedule within 7 days, we will run the scheduled version. If a new setup is required, all drivers in attendance will work on a new setup.
B-10 If a track cannot load on the dedicated server or another host's server that majority agree on, a new track or version will be selected and the race will be rescheduled for a later date.
B-11 All drivers must be on TeamSpeak, and able to hear the admins, while on track
B-12 If the server is restarted due to a crash, drivers who have retired and/or wrecked out of the race must stay out of the race. Drivers who are off pace and/or have engine damage will start one lap down.
 
Section C (Paint scheme regulations)

C-1 Paint schemes may not contain inappropriate material. Defined as schemes being, obscene, libelous, defamatory, threatening or otherwise invasive of any rights.
C-2 Drivers are allowed to run only their registered number.
C-3 Drivers must run a scheme that is in a existing car pack or that came with the mod

C-4 Paint Schemes are required to have the proper series logo(s).
C-5 Only the 4 original manufactures and makes can be used (Chevy Monte Carlo/Silverado, Ford Taurus/F-150, Toyota Tundra, Pontiac Grand Prix, and Dodge Intrepid/Ram)
C-6 Drivers are not limited on the number of primary sponsors registered, however, common sense applies (No Coke, Pepsi, Sprite, 7-UP, ect on the same car)
C-7 Drivers are limited to 5 cars per pack, per series.


Section E (Points System)

D-1 Points system is series specific and will be posted in the proper forum topic.
D-2 If there is a tie in the final point standings, the driver with more 1st place finishes is entitled to the position, if there is still a tie then it will be most 2nd places, 3rd places, 4th places, and so on.


Section E (Penalties)

E-1 Only an admin can administer a penalty
E-2 A penalty may only be issued between 12 and 72 hours after the start of the event
E-3 Any penalty may be appealed, to appeal the penalized driver must message the Appeals Manager.
E-4 If the penalty is worthy of a reduction then it will be reduced by the Appeals Manager.
E-5 If the penalty is a clear and direct violation of said rule then the penalty is subject to an increase

Section F (Provisionals)

F-1 Provisionals may be requested by a driver knowingly interested in racing in said series.
F-2 A provisional is worth 5 spots back of the last place finisher. (I.E 10 show up, you get 15th place points)
F-3 Drivers have a max of 3 provisionals per series' season.
F-4 Drivers have until the start time of the event to request a provisional.
F-5 If you are found to have run another league the same night as the provisional you requested, the provisional will be denied.

Section G (Lucky Dog)

G-1 The Lucky Dog is the first driver a lap down that was not involved in the caution
G-2 The Lucky Dog will get 1 lap back
G-3 If the Driver is lined up at the end of the longest line, he will receive 1 lap back on the restart

NOTE: Rules may be adjusted/added at any time but there will be a notice of said changes.
