In the final race of the season, the Cup Series traveled to Miami to race at the Homestead-Miami Speedway. Mark Murphy edged out Zach Michael for the pole and Murphy, along with teammate Mike Tellier pulled away from the pack. Steven Davis spun out on lap 18 and retired, he would go on to finish 2nd in points. Ron Stout, who has been running part time since the chase started, made his way up towards the front on the long run. Stout was leading when he got into the marbles and spun, collecting 2nd place Mike Tellier. Zach Michael took the lead but not for long as Stout and Murphy were both following right behind. Murphy was able to take the lead when the final caution came out for Mike Tellier losing out of the turn. On the restart Murphy was able to gap the field. A few laps later, Ron and fellow part timer Bronson Stafford wrecked out of turn 4 but no caution was thrown. Murphy continued to pull away as Zach and Mike battled for 2nd. Zach was able to beat Mike for 2nd and Murphy put enough of a gap on the field to hang on for his 2nd win, a well deserved win following heartbreak at Texas last week.

Congrats to T-mac on his win and Zach on his championship. Thanks to all who raced this season! See you next Wednesday for the Shootout @ Daytona!!

FINAL STANDINGS: 1st: Zach Michael (Leader), 2nd: Steven Davis (-42), 3rd: John Griggs (-43), 4th: Rob Scarberry (-44)

Following Tony Pizzaro's dominance at Martinsville one week prior, the series heads to the Lone Star State for the 2nd to last race of the season. Steven Davis was best in practice and qualified on the pole. Davis lead early on as the field was running close together. The first and only caution of the night was brought out when rookie Cristian Torres warped into another driver and crashed. On the restart Steven Davis continued to lead but his car tightened up on him and Mark Murphy was able to get by and take the lead. The field continued running with Murphy leading and Zach Michael in 2nd. Green flag pit stops came on lap 65 and the field began to cycle through their stops. Despite problems for both of the leaders on pit road, their gap was equal coming out of the pits. Murphy continued leading while Michael was riding behind some of the lap cars trying to save fuel. As the laps wound down pit stops started again but Murphy and Michael were both going to try and make it the distance. With just two laps to go, Michael gave up conserving and passed Murphy. On the back straight Murphy ran out of fuel and would end up coasting home in 3rd. With a big lead Michael was able to back off on the final lap and sputtered across the line for the win at Texas.

Congrats to Zach on his win, spectacular racing form everyone tonight. Very clean racing. See you all next week for both Monday's Trucks and Wednesday's Cup Season finale's at Homestead!!

The Chase is now down to just 3 races and drivers are running out of time to try and claim the championship. The series headed to Martinsville, site of the most cautions in one race, for the Goody's Headache Relief 150. Mike Tellier won the pole but Tony Pizzaro was able to take the lead. After a pair of early yellows pit strategy came into play with drivers not needing to refuel to make the distance but tires were a factor. Mike Tellier only took two tires while Tony Pizzaro took four, giving Tellier track position. Tellier continued to lead with Mark Murphy in tow. Pizzaro was making his way up towards to the front though, working his way around championship contenders Steven Davis and Zach Michael. Pizzaro was able to catch Tellier after about 40 laps of working his way back up to the front. He was then able to take the lead for good. The race continued into it's 110+ green flag run to end the race with all of the drivers conserving tires, some even pitted. Zach Michael was gaining ground quick on Mark Murphy for 3rd but overdrove one of the turns and fell back too far. Pizzaro was able to hang on for the win with Mike Tellier 2nd and Mark Murphy narrowly getting 3rd.

Congrats to Tony on his win and thanks to all for racing! Very clean run with only two yellows in 150 laps. See you all Monday for Trucks at Phoenix and next Wednesday for Cup at Texas, only two races to go in both series!!

With only 4 races left to settle the chase the series heads to Talladega. A swarm of new drivers joined the NSRA for the event with plans to continue racing in the series. One of the new drivers, Jefferey McClintock won the pole for the event. The 16 car field looked to have settled into a run about 10 laps into the race when disaster struck. The #23 of Jim Stevens warped out only to come back stopped on the track in turn 3. The entire field was headed right for him and only 4 of the 16 cars made it through without any damage. When the race went back to green there were only 9 left running and 4 with full power. McClintock, Alex Bates, and Zach Michael all ran 1-2-3 for most of the race. As the race continued on just those three were left to settle it. With McClintock and Bates side by side Michael went with the #29 and coming into the tri-oval Michael got a bump from behind, swerved onto the apron and lost grip in the turn, coming back up and taking himself out along with Bates. McClintock was able to just get by the two wrecking cars as they finished 3 wide, backwards, and upside down.

Congrats to Jefferey on his win and thanks to all for racing. See you Monday for Trucks at Memphis and next Wednesday for Cup at Martinsville.

It's the first week of the chase and the Cup Series heads to New Hampshire to kick off the 5 week playoff. Zach Micheal edged Darrell Pace by 0.003 for the pole position in qualifying. Zach lead the field to green but Dave Daniels was on the bumper of the 14 early and took the lead. Chase contender John Griggs spun on lap 7 and his hopes of winning were plagued early by an ill-handling racecar. Daniels and Michael continued to go back and forth for the lead with part timer Tony Pizzaro running close behind in 3rd. Pit strategy was key throughout the race with some driver not pitting under yellow while other took 4 tires. Michael even took 2 tires on a stop and was leading when Dave Daniels got loose and his car went away. Daniels later retired following a crash with the 71 of Mike Tellier. That setup an almost 70 lap run to the finish. With Daniels out, the race was left to be settled between Michael and Pizzaro. Pizzaro remained in tow right behind the #14 when, with just under 15 laps to go, Pizzaro lost connection with the server and lost 2 laps. Michael was able to cruise to his 3rd win of the season and early momentum in the 1st Chase for the Old Spice Cup! Teammate Rob Scarberry came home 2nd for a Mountain Dew 1-2.

Standings (After 1 of 5 races): 1st; Michael(Leader), 2nd; Scarberry(-12), 3rd; Daniels(-14), 4th; Davis(-15), 5th; Griggs(-23)

Congrats to Zach on his win and thanks to everyone for a good clean race. See you all next week for Truck and Cup at Talladega!

In the final race before the chase, 8 drivers had a shot at making it into the Chase. Only 5 could make it in. Tony Pizzaro won the pole and lead early on. John Battista and Dave Daniels were both in tow behind. Pizzaro and Battista were well out of chase contention but Daniels only had a 7 point gap to stay in the chase. The yellow flew frequently early on with John Griggs, a chase contender, spinning out twice and blowing his engine. Battista was running very aggressively during the course of the race, spun twice, ending his night. Pizzaro continued to lead the way following Dave Daniels spinning and wrecking out of the race. A long run followed that spread out most of the field. But a yellow came out with just 8 laps to go, setting up a mad dash to the finish. Tony Pizzaro was going to restart in the lead but connection issues resulted in him loosing a lap and handing the lead to Mark Murphy. In the final run Zach Michael, who was feeling the full effects of a cold, passed Rob Scarberry and was hunting down Murphy for the lead but he ran out of time and Mark Murphy won his first race.

Congrats to Mark on his win and thanks to all who raced and see you Monday for trucks at Mosport and Wednesday for Cup at New Hampshire!!

With just two races to go before the chase, every driver is trying to secure as spot as one of the 5 drivers to fight for the championship. Zach Michael won the pole with an average speed of 199.095MPH around the 1.5 mile oval. Teammate Rob Scarbery started 2nd and was able to pass Zach for the lead on the first lap. After a few early cautions the pack finally got spread out but Zach had company for 1st with Dave Daniels and Adam Simons both trying to take over the lead. Daniels was able to get the lead and just when he started to gap Zach and Adam, David Culpepper blew a tire and went right into Daniels with Zach narrowly avoiding a spinning Daniels, who later blew an engine. After halfway the race started to get more spread out with a long run going. Steven Davis stayed in two with Zach but fell back on the long run. A caution came out after Culpepper spun, allowing those short on fuel to guarantee they'll make it to the end. On the restart Zach continued to lead but Rob Scarberry and Steven Davis were in tow. Davis fell off once again and dropped back but Scarberry had come out of the weeds and was fighting for the lead. After navigating lap traffic Rob closed within 2 tenths of a second but Zach was able to hold on for the win.

Congrats to Zach on his win and see you all Monday for Trucks at South Boston and Wednesday for the final race before the chase at Richmond!! Thanks to all who raced tonight!

The regular season is winding down with only 3 races to go before the chase begins. Tony Pizzaro could not pull together the funding to run last week but he was able to pull it together to run at the Glen. Pizzaro started out the night by winning the pole and leading laps early on. Not many cautions came out during the night so track position was key. Adam Simons made his first start in the series and ran well, running 2nd most of the race. Zach Michael never got it going during the night, even self spinning in Turn 1 with no caution. John Griggs self spun to bring out the caution with just 7 to go. Pizzaro restarted 1st and drove away. Simons restarted 2nd but blew 4th gear and Dave Daniels and Zach Michael went right around the 08. Pizzaro continued to drive off with the win but Daniels and Michael fought hard for 2nd, almost a replay of last week. Michael caught Daniels on the last lap and were side by side with Daniels getting 2nd by half a car over Michael.

Tony went on to win the race and lead 49 of 50 laps, 1 shy of the record. Zach now leads the points with Rob Scarberry, Dave Daniels, and Steven Davis behind. Davis hold just a 4 lead over Ron Stout and a 6 point lead over John Griggs. Zach Leavitt, despite missing the past two races still holds the wild card spot with two wins. Pizzaro now had two wins but must get to 10th to have a shot at the wild card, he is 37 points behind Austin Jensen for 10th.

Congrats to Tony on the win, see you all Monday for the truck opener at Daytona and next Wednesday for Atlanta inm Cup, only two races 'till the chase!! Thanks to all for racing!

In week 7 of the Old Spice Cup Series Season the series headed to the famed Indianapolis Motor Speedway. Zach Michael won the pole and lead the first lap but Dave Daniels took the lead and put a huge gap on the field. The first caution did not come out until nearly 20 laps into the race when the yellow was thrown for debris (Damn you NASCAR!). After pit stops Zach Michael re took the lead but once again Dave Daniels took the lead and gaped the field on another long run. The caution flew for just the 2nd time all night when Austin Jenson blew an engine going into Turn 1. Zach and Dave both had problems on their pit stops and Mac Murphy took the lead. Daniels took the lead quickly after the restart. However, with 10 to go Zach started to real in Daniels for the lead. And on the last lap Michael was able to pull within two tenths of a second but Daniels had the better line through turns 3 and 4 and held on narrowly to win the race.

Congrats to Dave on his win, thanks to everyone who raced, see you next Wednesday for Cup at Watkins Glen! And remember Truck are off this week.

In the 6th race of the season the Cup Series headed to a Road Course for the first time. Tony Pizzaro was able to fund a ride and started off hot winning the pole and leading. Zach Leavitt ran very well contending with Pizzaro multiple times over the course of the race. John Battista, Dalton Lucas, and Kevin Corbat all made their first starts but despite good runs all three DNF'd. Zach Michael played a bit of strategy, taking the lead while everyone else pitted. Michael was able to hold off the field until Leavitt caught and ended up sending the #14 around. Tony Pizzaro was the lucky man in the right place and took the lead for good and went on to win his first race. Dave Daniels came home 3rd. Ron Stout, despite missing the green flag, finished 10th.

Congrats to Tony on his win and thanks to all who raced. See you Monday for the Trucks Season finale at Homestead and next Wednesday for Cup at Indy!!
