Truck Series: Close Your Eyes, and Just Drive Through - 7 May 2013

In week 2 of the MTN Dew Truck Series and the Trucks headed to South Boston for the first time in it's 9 season history. Adam Simons showed muscle early by winning the pole. Zach Michael lead early but Adam took the lead back. After a couple early yellows the field got spread out on a long run with Mark Murphy leading all of the laps on a 42 lap run. David Daniels, who is running part time in the trucks, took the lead and looked to be the new favorite. But Adam Simons and Zach Michael were both right in tow behind Dave. Adam had internet problems and brought out what would be the last yellow after he spun, taking out a very fast Mark Murphy. On the final run both Dave and Zach were sideways through the corners trying as hard as they could to win. Coming to 2 laps to go, Daniels hit the inside wall and stacked up the field, sending the #14 around. Adam Simons proved to be the lucky man in the group, after crawling his way back up to 4th, he was able to squeak through the wreck and win his first race in the N.S.R.A.
