The final race of the truck series season is tonight at the Homestead-Miami Speedway. Zach Michael holds a commanding 29 point lead over teammate Rob Scarberry. It would take a record setting number of people to show up for Rob to have a chance at claiming the top spot. However, there are a few positions up for grabs, even 2nd place. A record setting 29 drivers have started at least 1 race in the truck series, with season highs for one race at 18, 15 (twice), and 13. A big thanks to everyone who showed up, hope you guys will join us again next season.

Next season's schedule has already been announced with the trucks heading to 7 completely different race tracks in as many weeks. It will be a true test of who is the best overall driver with races at Super-Speedways, Flat tracks, Short tracks, and even a Road Course! But that will not start for a couple weeks. Tonight, we have to finish the current season at Homestead. Here's a look at each of the top drivers and how there season has gone.

Zach Michael (Leader) - Zach has dominated the season right from the start, winning 4 out of 8 races with one to go. The Championship is all but locked up for the #14

Rob Scarberry  (-29) - Rob has run well all season and the biggest surprise may be that he is so high in the standings but has no wins. Rob's last win was at Homestead almost 5 seasons ago. He will look to try and end the season on a high note and gain momentum going into next season to try and take the title away from his team owner.

Mark Guthrie (-44) - Mark has had the Truck Series as his sole focus during the past couple months and that focus has turned into success with possibly his highest points finish ever in the series. Guthrie has been known to like the high line and that will be where the speed is at Homestead.

Ron Stout (-48) - Ron is well out of championship contention but he is just 4 points behind Mark for 3rd. Ron has yet to win a Truck Series race, he has contended in a few races this season. He might just pull one out in the season finale.

5th Place - There is a log jam for 5th place. Steven Davis leads the group with Pete Glover behind him by just 3 points. Steven Spears is in 7th 9 points behind 5th place and Austin Jensen is sitting 8th just 11 points behind for 5th place. It will be interesting to see how all the points battles play out once the Checkered Flag waves in Miami.

The race is Tonight at 9:30 ET. Thanks again to all who have raced so far this season. See you all at Homestead!

In the 6th race of the season the Cup Series headed to a Road Course for the first time. Tony Pizzaro was able to fund a ride and started off hot winning the pole and leading. Zach Leavitt ran very well contending with Pizzaro multiple times over the course of the race. John Battista, Dalton Lucas, and Kevin Corbat all made their first starts but despite good runs all three DNF'd. Zach Michael played a bit of strategy, taking the lead while everyone else pitted. Michael was able to hold off the field until Leavitt caught and ended up sending the #14 around. Tony Pizzaro was the lucky man in the right place and took the lead for good and went on to win his first race. Dave Daniels came home 3rd. Ron Stout, despite missing the green flag, finished 10th.

Congrats to Tony on his win and thanks to all who raced. See you Monday for the Trucks Season finale at Homestead and next Wednesday for Cup at Indy!!

April Car Pack Here

Tonight the Old Spice Cup Series rolls into the first road course race of the season at the Sonoma Raceway. The NSRA has never run at a Road Course until tonight, it will be interesting to see who is the best at a totally different racing style compared to previous tracks. The standings are starting to take shape and the chase contenders are showing. Who will claim victory tonight?

Zach Michael (Leader) - Our points leader by just two points. He's won once this season and looks to continue the consistency.

Zach Leavitt (-2) - Leavitt won two races in a row but since then he's finished 4th and 8th, dropping him to 2nd in the points. Leavitt will look to re-claim the points lead in Sonoma.

Rob Scarberry (-15)
- Scarberry has not yet won this season but has had the consistency to maintain 3rd in the point standings.

John Griggs (-24) - Griggs won Daytona but since he's finished outside the top 5 in every race, a win will help him make the chase but he can easily fall out.

Dave Daniels (-42) - Daniels is far away from making the chase but with a win he has the wild card spot as of now, another win could almost guarantee him that spot, but he can quickly loose it if someone else claims victory.

Rest of Field - Pete Glover is just 5 points out of the top 4 but with no wins he'll have to make it in on points right now. Ron Stout is just 6 points out, he's not been very inconsistent this season but has surprised us and run well at a few tracks. And Steven Davis is 11 points out, he is still in contention but a win would be huge for Davis.

The schedule for season 9 of the MTN Dew Truck Series has been released.  The season will start after an off week following the Homestead race this Monday. I hope we can have another good season and hope you guys like the tracks I have selected to run in the upcoming season. I'm looking forward to it, hope you guys are too!!

Race 01: 4/29/13: Chevy Silverado 250 @ Daytona Night SBP BR - 30%/60 Laps

This Season we are running the old version of Daytona. The pre-pave version will provide better FPS and better racing, it's bumpy!!

Race 02: 5/06/13: Hardee's Virginia 140 @ South Boston 2007 - 40%/140 Laps

South Boston is a .400 mile oval with 12 degrees of banking. It's fast with a lap coming in at around 15.3 seconds.

Race 03: 5/13/13: Canadian Tire 150 @ Mosport PWF - 35%/36 Laps

Mosport is a Road Course in Canada. It is 2.4 miles and features two down hill sections, the NASCAR Camping World Trucks will go here for the first time this summer

Race 04: 5/20/13: MTN Dew 200 @ Talladega SBP06 BR - 30%/57 Laps

This version of Talladega IS repaved but will provide much better FPS. It is also BR gripped witch will provide good double file racing.

Race 05: 5/27/13: Camping World 150 @ Memphis 2009 - 60%/120 Laps

Memphis is a D shaped oval with fairly tight corners but with a decent amount of banking. It is three quarters of a mile.

Race 06: 6/03/13: Subway Fresh Fit 150 @ Phoenix Revamped 2010 - 30%/94 Laps

We are running the old  (better) layout of Phoenix. It has a good FPS rate. It will also provide some great racing as it is a 1 mile flat track.

Race 07: 6/10/13: Ford EcoBoost 200 @ Homestead Revamped 2009 - 30%/81 Laps

Homestead is banked about 24 degrees and the highline right up next to the wall is the fast way around the 1.5 mile oval. This version features a 3D crowd but a good FPS rate for me, if we have problems we can look at other options.

The half mile paperclip of Martinsville was the site of the second to last race of the season. Zach Michael came in with the points standings lead over teammate Rob Scarberry. John Battista made just his second start but was off to the races early, winning the pole and leading early on. Cautions were a big deal in this race, mostly because of racing being a little too hard between some drivers. With only a few laps to go, tempers boiled over. Rob Scarberry drove down into the inside of Tanner Smith, last week's winner, and the 03 was sent around after Rob hit the curb. Tanner then drove up to Rob and door slammed him. On the next restart John Battista tried to run away with the race but Dave Daniels and Zach Michael were in hot pursuit. However their attempts to take the lead were thwarted when the caution came out with 3 to go, ending the race. John Battista won his first race in the NSRA and lead all 125 laps.

Congrats to John on his win and thanks to all 18 who raced tonight! See you Wednesday for Cup at Sonoma and next Monday for the season finale of the trucks at Homestead!!

In week 5 of the Old Spice Cup Series, the chase picture is starting to form. Dave Daniels qualified on the pole and lead early on. Steven Davis was running well but a crash damaged his motor and completely let go 15 laps later. Zach Leavitt ran in the top 4 all night but he blew a tire and smashed into the turn 3 wall, leading to a DNF for our points leader. Zach Michael lead quite a few laps after the restart but Daniels was able to get around the #14 and drive away from the field. Daniels dominated the race and won by over 17 seconds. Ron Stout brought home a Whelen Modified for 3rd place. It was a great points day for Zach Michael, who assumed the points lead by just two points. And a good day for Daniels as he now holds the Wild Card spot despite missing the Daytona race. The chase is heating up!

Congrats to Dave on his dominating win and thanks to all for showing up! See you Monday for Martinsville and next Wednesday for Cup at Sonoma!

Steven Davis won his first NSRA pole position for the truck series race at Talladega. Davis only lead a few laps before getting shuffled out of line. The first caution came out on lap 21 when Austin Jensen blew an engine. The pack was bunched back up and shortly after another caution caused when Scott Drake and Zach Michael crashed in the tri-oval. After just one more caution the race restarted with only 11 to go. Everyone was fighting hard for position with the big one narrowly avoided multiple times. Tanner Smith held the lead but Rob Scarberry came up the outside with a huge push from teammate Zach Michael. Pete Glover was flipped in the tr-oval, collecting quite a few drivers outside the top 5. The few remaining were racing back for the win. Zach pushed Rob the entire last lap but could not get by the #03 on the outside.

Congrats to Tanner on his win and see you all Wednesday for Darlington and next Monday for Martinsville!

In week 4 the Cup Series headed to the mid west for the STP 300 at the Kansas Speedway. 12 drivers took to the track to try and claim victory in the first race at Kansas. Dave Daniels claimed the pole and lead the first lap but Zach Michael took the lead on the second lap. Rob Scarberry caught his team owner and lead a few laps before surrendering the lead back to the #14. A caution came out on lap 59, just the third of the night, that set up a fuel mileage race to the finish. Zach Michael pulled to a 4 second lead over Dave Daniels but soon after Daniels was closing in on the 14, who had to back off to save fuel and tires. Daniels came within 2 seconds with just 10 laps to go but Zach was able to maintain that gap for the reminder of the race, crossing the line in first with just under 3 PSI of fuel pressure. Ron Stout brought home 3rd after a battle with Rob Scarberry. Zach Leavitt still has the points lead by just 5 points heading into Darlington next week.

Thanks to all for racing and see you all Monday for Talladega and next Wednesday for cup at Darlington!!
