Following an off week, the Traxxas series tackles the Lady In Black, Darlington Raceway. Zach Michael won the pole and lead a few laps early on but surrendered the lead to Ron Stout. Stout continued leading until the first caution when Mike Tellier spun in turn 3. On the restart Michael was able to overtake Stout, who did not pit. Rob Scarberry was able to take the lead away from his teamowner and lead a few laps. The 2nd caution of the night came out when Mike Carroll and Mike Tellier collided off of turn 4. With that caution fuel mileage was thrown out the window with all drivers being able to go the distance. Ron Stout was then able to take the lead on the ensuing restart and pulled out to a 4 second lead over the field. With under 30 laps to go all was going well for Stout, who has yet to win a race, until he felt a vibration and had to pit. After a lengthy stop to repair the right front suspension Stout made his way back out only for the suspension to completely break, ending his night. After a debris caution, the field lined up with 16 laps to go to settle it. Michael was first with Scarberry 2nd, Steven Davis 3rd and Austin LaPlante 4th, LaPlante having made up 3 laps to get back on pace with the leaders. On the restart no one held anything back and Michael was able to pull away. However with under 5 to go, Rob Scarberry was closing in. Scarberry closed in a whole second on Michael but came up just 0.14 short, coincidence? I THINK NOT!

Congrats to Jimmie on (yet another....how boring) win. Thanks to all who raced
