In an unusually small field, but a respectable SOF of around 2450, six cars rolled off the grid to run 165 blazing fast laps at Richmond. This week Team ALDI Star Fox Miller Lite had a third driver in Kevin, making his 2nd start of the season.

Zach qualified 2nd, with Tim and Kevin in 4th and 5th. The opening laps were very clean as the field quickly got spread out with the leader driving off to a six second lead over Zach. Kevin struggled for speed but kept his nose clean after a near miss with another car.

The leader caught Tim close to the pit window and could not pass in his dirty air, Zach was able to drive up to within one second before the leader pitted, handing Zach the lead and keeping Tim on the lead lap. The leader pulled ahead after Zach's pit stop, again by around six seconds.

Once again, he caught up to Tim but was unable to find running room to pass him. Obviously frustrated, the leader had several close calls with the wall, but Zach was hard at work running him down. As the race wound down past twenty to go, it appeared the leader backed off Tim to try and keep Zach in dirty air while giving himself clean air.

This strategy backfired, as Zach ran a wider line through the corner to make up enough time to get a run and pass the leader. With ten to go, Zach took the lead and drove away by almost ten seconds by the time the checkered flag flew.

Tim brought it home in 3rd place, with Kevin in 4th, both running a very clean race in the caution free event.

RESULTS:
Zach: 125pts Start 2nd, Finish 1st, Led 15, +69iR, -.-- SR (4.99 A)
Tim: 75pts Start 4th, Finish 3rd, +18iR, +0.34 SR (4.70 A)
Kevin: 50pts Start 6th, Finish 4th, +23iR, +0.44 SR (3.92 A)

A relatively uneventful evening in Australia saw both NORL/NSRA/Star Fox/ALDI drivers Tim and Zach finish in the top 5.

Zach put it on pole for the second straight week and led the first 4 laps before giving up the lead. He would hold 2nd until losing the position on the races only round of pit stops. After running back down 2nd place with just 5 to go, the ALDI machine got sideways out of the hairpin and fortunatley had enough of an advantage over 4th to maintain a 3rd place finish.

Tim started a couple positions back and held a top 5 all day after narrowly missing a lap 1, turn 2 incident that wiped out a couple cars in front. A clean pit stop just past halfway, and enough speed to hold off a closing 6th place car in the final laps saw Tim capture a 5th place finish.

RESULTS:
Zach: Start 1, Finish 3rd, Led 4, +49iR, +0.16 SR (4.99 A)
Tim: Start 7th, Finish 5th, +28iR, -.-- SR (4.99 A)

Following a great run cut short at Michigan, hopes were high for the NSRA/NORL Force Indy Aldi Starfox Miller Lite with Bugsnax racing team. This week the team had a third entry with Kevin being a late addition to the field.

Zach set a blazing lap and put it on pole, but the lead would only last the opening lap as a series win sniper would take the lead. On a restart Zach had a huge run but was shoved down onto the apron by the 2nd place car, fortunately Zach's not a big dummy and lifted to not slaughter the field. Tim and Kevin started towards the back and paced themselves in their move to the front.

Kevin ran into some troubles as he spun off turn 4 and spent a couple laps in the pits. He tried his best to get those laps back but failed to do so. Although, he persevered like the '64 Bears to finish 7th. Tim had a sporting battle for 3rd place and after a late race charge to the back of the 3rd place car, could not overcome the dirty air and would come home 4th.

Zach took 2nd after Joey Logano got walled but did not have the pace to get around the sniper for the win. Zach would settle for his 5th 2nd place finish since joining the series last season, and move into 3rd in the division 3 points.

RESULTS:
Zach: Start 1st, Finish 2nd, Led 1, +55iR, -.-- SR (4.99 A) 114pts
Tim: Start 11th, Finish 4th, +43 iR, +0.28 SR (4.71 A) 99pts
Kevin: Start 14th, Finish 7th, +53iR, -0.02 SR (3.24 A) 76pts

Next week the series burns more obnoxious travel costs to head to Australia for the team's first visit to Phillip Island.

Tim and Zach got their passports out and returned to Tim's homeland of Germany for the IndyCar Hockenheim Grand Prix!
The start of the race saw the polesitter wipe out on the exit of 1 and collect most of the top 5. Zach picked up some significant sidepod but was able to continue on. Tim got through unscathed but had to stop to due to the blocked track.

Both drivers soldiered on and tried their best to keep it clean. Zach suffered from extra drag due to the damage and could not hold off Tim as he charged up to 6th place.
Tim fought hard for 5th on the final lap but in the end had to settle for 6th. Zach managed his fuel well enough and brought the ALDI Hometown Store totally not a complete ripoff of Scott Dixon's car machine home in 7th.

Next week we return to the U, S, and A to race at Charlotte in what is sure to be a race where we don't kill a few spectators.

RESULTS:
Tim: Start 11th, Finish 6th, Inc 0, +37iR, -.-- SR (4.99 A)
Zach: Start 9th, Finish 7th, Inc 5, +29iR, -0.06 SR (4.83 A)

An uneventful night at the Iowa Speedway ended in a solid run for Alex and Zach. Both started towards the front of the 15 car field that featured a pair of heavy hitters from the SOF race on Monday.

A couple of early cautions dwindled the field down to just eight cars, after dodging the early wrecks, Alex and Zach spent most of the night running 5th and 6th. Final pit stops took place just before the 100 lap mark, Alex got his machine in and out quicker, leapfrogging Zach for 5th place.

Unlike at Mid-Ohio, Zach was unable to catch his teammate for the position and took him his second consecutive 6th place finish. Alex took the final top 5 position.

RESULTS:

Alex: Start 5th, Finish 5th, Inc 0, Led 0, -17iR, -.-- SR (4.99 A)
Zach: Start, 4th, Finish 6th, Inc 0, Led 0, +8iR, -.-- SR (4.99 A)

Next week the series heads over the pond to Hockenhiem for the series first visit to the formerly great road course.

An epic duel for the ages! Tim and Zach fight to the near death for 6th at Mid-Ohio!
Zach started 4th but spun off track on lap 5, falling to 11th in the running order. Tim dodged near calamity in the early laps and spent much of the race running in the top 10. After the lone pit stop was completed, two laps earlier for Zach than Tim, the duo found themselves running 6th and 7th.

Zach rode behind Tim for several laps, not gaining or losing any time. As they took the white, Zach was running on near empty from pitting earlier, and still trailed Tim by just under a second. Using their push to pass, Tim and Zach kept the gap until Tim caught a lap car coming out of the esses and into Thunder Valley. Zach took advantage and dove under Tim and the lap car to make it three wide into the final few corners.
Tim led into turn 11 but had to back out of it early with Zach on his outside. With only 0.35 gallons left in the tank, Zach hung on through the final two corners to steal 6th away from Tim on the final lap.

Next week is the 2nd oval of the season and first visit to an oval under one mile for the Corn Up Out The Cob 150 at Iowa Speedway.

RESULTS:
Zach: Started 4th, Finished 6th, Inc 3, +26 IR, +0.13 SR (4.89 A)
Tim: Started 9th, Finished 7th, Inc 0, +13iR, +-.-- SR (4.99 A)

Zach started the race up front and held on to the top 5 as a run on early yellows slowed the race several times. Tim moved his way up through the field to run alongside Zach when the two made their first pit stops under yellow on lap 35. On the ensuing restart, the entire field raced each other hard, causing Zach to drop back. Tim took advantage and drove to the front of the field.

With Tim holding on to 2nd for most of the run, Zach finally had an opportunity to get to the front, sending it three wide into turn 1 and making it stick. He would fly up through the field, going from 11th to 4th in just three laps.

However it proved to all be for naught as the 3rd place car stuck it three wide under Tim and the leader into one. Naively the driver kept it on the seam and spun down the track, over-corrected, and came up the track and obliterated both Tim, Zach, and a few others behind.

"Jesus Christ dude, I lifted and it still didn't save my life" said Tim on his radio. "$%^! Why the $%^# would you make that move? Three wide with 40 to go! Yeah, I made that move but I made it work." A frustrated Zach in a post race interview with Extravaganza reporter Steven Spock.

RESULTS:

Zach: Start 5th, Finish 14th, Led 11, Inc 2, -59iR, --- SR (4.99 A)
Tim: Start 11th, Finish 15th, Led 1, Inc 4, -51iR, -0.11 SR (4.64 A)

Season 3 of the IndyCar - Road World Championships kicked off it's opening round at the Roads of America. Zach and Tim represented the Gaming Log/NSRA Indy Invasion series. Zach qualified 9th with Tim in 11th.

On the opening lap, Zach and Tim dodged a few incidents and carried on in the top 10. As the race was settling in, Tim ran wide at Turn 5 and was then collected in another incident at Canadanmerica corner, forcing him to make an extra pit stop to replace his mangled front wing. Tim used some pit strategy and kept it clean the rest of the way to finish in 8th place 1 lap down.

Zach worked his was slowly up through the field as other drivers had problems over the event. He came out in 3rd after making the one scheduled pit stop. Despite a hard charging 4th place car, The #14 ALDI totally not Scott Dixon's PNC Bank car rolled home with a 3rd place podium victory.

RESULTS:

Zach: Start 9th, Finish 3rd, Inc 4, +78 iR, -0.01 SR (4.76 A)
Tim: Start 11th, Finish 8th, Inc 3, +20iR, ---- SR (4.99 A)

The IndyCar Finale was not one for the weak. In a race that saw many on track incidents and a high fatality rate, survival would be key in a good finish position.

Zach qualified 3rd with a blazing 1:15.097 but it would prove for naught as he spun after clipping the inside curb in turn 4. Letting the field pass then making a pit stop to replace the front wing, Zach left the pits in 18th. Over the next 38 laps, Zach kept the car on the road while laying down the 3rd fastest lap of anyone in the top 11. Climbing up the leaderboard to finish 6th despite the spin and extra pit stop to fix the car.

Tim started 13th, keeping the car clean for the first lap. A couple minor incidents kept him from advancing too far up the field, then calamity struck twice when first his internet dropped, then an ill timed braking point sent him into the tires. The team rallied together and fixed the car, allowing him to salvage an 11th place finish.

Kevin, making his 3rd start of the season and first since Motegi in the early stages of the season, struggled to find speed all week in practice. A first lap incident on the penultimate corner led to an extended stay in the pits. Once he left the pits, he suffered another incident in turn 3, ending his night after 2 laps.

RESULTS:

Zach: Start 3rd, Finish 6th, Inc 2, +40iR, +0.17SR (4.77 A)
Tim: Start 13th, Finish 11th, Inc 4, -13iR,  -- SR (4.99 A)
Kevin: Start 15, Finish 19, Inc 4, -21iR, -0.56SR (1.50 A)

The series is off next week to facilitate the several patches and hotfixes for week 13 with the 2021 Season 3 opener tentatively scheduled for the following week at Road America!
