Truck Series: Get Back To Where You Once Belonged

In week 1 of the Truck Series, we started at Daytona. Adam Simons won the pole and it looked early on that ATN Autosport was going to be the dominant team of the night. The field was side by side early on and the first yellow came out when Ken Joynt blew his engine. The field got back to green and the lead was back and forth throughout the entire race with 23 changes among 12 leaders. It was one of the most competitive races. Shortly into the run ATN Autosport took a hit when both David Culpepper and Tanner Smith suffered engine damage after a big wreck. Culpepper took it behind the wall and was done for the night. Then about halfway through the race Austin Jenson got into Steven Davis and took a few good trucks out, including Mark Guthrie. Then there was some debate as to who was the lucky dog as Zach Michael had fallen out but was scored as the first truck a lap down but Tanner Smith believed he was the lucky dog. Smith was irate when he was not the lucky dog and ended up getting parked by NSRA officials. Rob Scarberry and Bronson Satfford battled back and forth for the win and Rob had just taken the lead when Mike Carroll blew an engine bringing out the yellow and setting up a dash to the finish. Rob Scarberry was able to hang on to the lead and win at Daytona

Congrats to Rob on his win and see you all Wednesday for Cup at Atlanta (2 races until the chase!!) and next Monday for Trucks at South Boston!
