With the season now past it's half way point, the trucks rolled into the Kentucky Speedway for the 5th race of the season. Ron Stout won the pole but it was Zach Michael who drove around Stout in turn 1 and lead early on. With the race only being 81 laps it was made known early that a few drivers were going hard and early. Rob Scarberry was in tow most of the night behind team owner Zach Michael. Zach and Rob battled with Ron for the lead with 30 to go. Just as the racing was heating up a caution came out. Zach and Rob took 1st and 2nd after pit stops and on the ensuing restart drove away from the field. With the laps winding down Rob tried to pass for the win but could not quite get their as Zach had more speed out of turn 4. Zach held on for his 3rd win of the season and leads the points.

Congrats to Zach for his victory and a big thank you to all 15 drivers that raced tonight. See you Wednesday for Cup at Bristol and next Monday for trucks at Bristol!

It's week 4 of 9 in the 8th season of the Mtn Dew Truck Series. Zach Michael comes in with the points lead, and it could be easy for him to run away with the championship. But teammate Rob Scarberry is close behind. Zach won the pole for the race and the race went with only one caution in the first 110 laps. Adam Simmons continued his momentum from a good run last week and went on to lead quite a few laps but his teammate Tanner Smith took the lead right before the final caution came out. On the ensuing restart Ron Stout ran over Rob Scarberry and the field was under yellow yet again. There was a lot of confusion over who was to line up where and this lead to a delay in the green coming back out. Zach lead the field to green with 4 to go and Tanner moved him out of the way and held off the field to win his first race.

Congrats to Tanner on his win and see you all in Vegas Wednesday and at Kentucky next Monday!

Rockingham Speedway was the site for the third race of the Truck Season. Zakk Miller was not in attendance for the race, leaving the door open for Rob Scarberry to try and take the points lead away from team owner Zach Michael. Zach won the pole with a blazing 24.4 lap. Zach lead most of the race but Adam Simmons was right behind him. After a long run, Mark Guthrie overtook Zach and Adam and looked like he was going to be the winner until a caution came out with 20 to go. Everyone got fresh tires and Zach was able to drive right around everyone. However, another yellow came out, setting up a 5 lap dash to the finish. Zach lead them to green and Mark made up half a second the final two laps but came up one tenth short, giving Zach his 2nd victory of the season!

Congrats to Zach on another win and thanks to all for showing up! See you Wednesday for Gen6 @ Daytona and next Monday for Trucks @ Iowa!

The second week of the MDTS is in the books. 11 drivers showed up to try and continue their quest for the championship. Ron Stout looked good early, earning the pole and leading laps. A handling issue as the night wore on lead to Zakk Miller taking the lead. Strategy came into play too. A few trucks pitted with 45 to go, trying to make it to the end. Most stayed out. The longest run of the night followed. Everyone had to pit except for Rob Scarberry, Mark Guthrie, and Pete Glover, all of whom pitted and could go the distance. Plans changed with 6 to go when Pete spun to bring out the caution. It was a 2 lap dash with Rob and Pete on old tires and Zach Michael and Zakk Miller on new tires. Zach drove right around Pete and Rob in turns 1 and 2. A caution came out and the race was over, meaning Zach Michael won at Auto Club!

Thanks to all who showed up tonight and congrats to Zach on his victory! See you next week at Rockingham!!

In the first race of the season, 15 members from the newly formed NSRA showed up to try and be the first to put their name on the trophy at Daytona! Rob Scarberry captured the pole and track record with a blazing lap of 45.5. Zach Michael led most of the race, leading 32 of the 60 laps total. But it was with 3 to go that Mark Guthrie turned Zach head on into the outside wall sending him barrel rolling down the back. Zack Johnson made his way through the wreck unscathed to win the first race of the season! During the caution laps Zach Michael bumped the back of Guthrie and coincidentally Mark blew a tire. After a very brief discussion both drivers were cool with each other.

From everyone at the NSRA we congratulate Zack Johnson on his victory and sincerely thank everyone that raced tonight. Thanks guys!!
