With the season now down to just 5 races, the trucks take on Memphis. John Battista won the pole and dominated the first half of the race. The race was very clean with no cautions until Cristian Torres stopped on the frontstrech for no reason and brought out the yellow. On the restart Battista pulled away but Tony Pizzaro closed in on him as the laps wore down. Pizzaro made quick work of Battista and was able to pull away from the field. Battista would continue sliding back to third place and was none to happy about Torres stopping. Pizzaro hung on for the win after leading the final portion of the race.
Congrats to Tony and we are off next week!

With the Truck Series just past it's halfway point, the Trucks head to Gateway for race 7. Rob Scarberry won the pole and looked to be the fastest truck in the field. Scarberry led but it was Mike Tellier who then took over the top spot. After an early spin by Mark Guthrie that bunched the field up, the race went on it's longest run of the night with everyone trying to stretch their fuel. Tellier continued leading laps as Scarberry faded back. Zach Michael had taken over 2nd place and was looking to make a run at the lead. Things got interesting as a caution came out that set up a late race restart and yet another battle between Michael and Tellier. With 4 to go Tellier slammed the wall off of Turn 2 and when Zach made a dive to the inside down the back, Tellier ran him down to the apron and the two made contact with the #14 nearly loosing control. With two laps to go Zach made another charge down the back and Tellier defended his position, which was when the #14 made contact with Tellier, sending him up the racetrack and back to 3rd place and Tellier was none too happy about it on the cool down lap. The caution was thrown as the field was coming tot he white and the race was over with the #14 in victory lane.
Trucks are off next week, but back the following week at Memphis.
