The final races of the season were this week. The Truck Series kicked off the week's festivities at Homestead. Mtn Dew Motorsports swept the front three spots. The trio dominated the race and finished in that order with Zach Michael taking the win and another title. Rob Scarberry finished 2nd but missed out on 2nd in the points by just two points over teammate Mark Guthrie, who came home third.
On the Cup side, the championship battle was much closer with just 8 points separating the top 2. Neither of the top two Zach Michael and Rob Scarberry had good runs to start the race. Michael was able to make his way up to 2nd and clinch the title while Scarberry came home in 6th. Mark Murphy lead 120 of the 121 laps en route to his 2nd win of the season and a 3rd place points finish.
Trucks have a practice night next week while the Cup Series hosts it's 2nd all-star event. See you all next week, and thanks for racing this season!!

 With just three weeks remaining in the Summer seasons, the Truck and Cup Series head to the paperclip in Martinsville.
The Trucks kicked the week off. Tony Pizzaro filled in for Rob Scarberry and looked strong early. Zach Michael won the pole and lead 116 of 125 laps. On the final restart with just over 20 to go, Mike Carroll got a good jump on the #14 and looked inside in turn 1 but by the time they got to turn 2 the #14 was gone. Michael pulled away and took his 5th win of the season and clinched his 7th series title.
Then followed the Cup Series. with just 3 races to go, Rob Scarberry holds a 2 point lead over teammate Zach Michael. Rod Weston made his first NSRA start and won the pole too. Weston took off and dominated the night en route to a victory in his first NSRA start, though he is no rookie to racing as this is his 11th year of running NR2003 online. On the final restart Zach Michael was able to hang on to 2nd place and Scarberry got turned around by Mike Carroll, relegating Scarberry to a 6th place finish. Michael took the points lead, but only holds the lead by a slim 2 points. One slip from either driver and their title chances could go with it!

 Both the Trucks and Cup were at Talladega this week. The Trucks kicked off the week at the famed superspeedway. Mark Guthrie was on pole for the event. Only 2 cautions early in the going but the final half of there ace went without any yellows. Pit stops came with 5 to go and the field got spread apart, leaving only Tony Pizzaro and Zach Michael to battle for the win. However, on the last lap Pizzaro got a push from a lap down truck and took the win in controversial fashion.
The Cup Series then followed, Michael was on pole for the event that would run caution free. Kevin Corbat was having a good run when his shifter malfunctioned causing a downshift that blew his engine following a pit stop. With four to go, the tandem of Michael and teammate Rob Scarberry rocketed around Mike Carroll and Tony Pizzaro. On the last lap Pizzaro and Carroll battled back on the outside and were side by side in the tri-oval. They were side by side to the line with Scarberry hanging on by 0.026, the closest finish in NSRA history.

The Truck Series ran at Kentucky this week. Mark Guthrie dominated the race but he and Zach Michael both had a an intense battle for the win. Guthrie hung on for his first career win.
Traxxas also ran at Kentucky and Zach Michael looked to have the race won when the server dropped him just long enough for Mike Tellier to take and lead and luck into his first win.
Finally, the Cup Series chase began at New Hampshire, Rob Scarberry pulled out to a huge lead and Zach Michael was closing in over the final laps, making up 3 seconds in the final 10 but ran out of time. Scarberry hung on to win in dominating fashion for a crucial victory in the chase.
Congrats to Mark and Mike on their first wins and congrats to Rob on his win. See you guys next week for Talladega on Monday and Wednesday!!

Remember, if at any time you are at or above 4.0 you'll automatically be promoted, if you are at or above 3.0 you'll be promoted at the end of the month if you are still at 3.0 or above.

Send all trucks you will be running this season in the trucks (up to 4). Send them to zach12396(at)live.com or PM me with a Download link. Regarding the cup cars, no custom cars will be accepted until we start the regular season. For the Atlanta race you are only able to use an in-game car.
